General terms and conditions

Dear Guests,

Our desire is for you to have the very best experience of Provence through our accommodations, dining and other services. To assist us in delivering you that experience we have developed the following policies and guidelines which we respectfully request that you adhere to before and during your stay.

Arrival and Departure

Check-in time is from 3.00 pm

Check-out time is prior to 12:00 am. We reserve the right to charge one additional night in the case of late check-out

The hotel’s gate and the reception desk close at 11:00 pm. We would appreciate you advising us if you expect to arrive after 6:00 pm at the time of reservation or by calling us in advance at + 33 (0) 4 90 54 32 54.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express as well as cash in Euros.


To confirm your booking you will need to provide your credit card number with its expiry date (Visa or MasterCard). We reserve the right to charge as a deposit the following:

50% of the total of the stay (booked services) but minimum 1 night


Any cancellation notification shall be written.

The total amount of deposit mentioned in the paragraph “Booking” will be kept according to the following rules:

The cancellation notice should be provided at least 7 (seven) days before the planned arrival date. No penalty will be applied if the cancellation is notified by email a minimum of 7 days prior to the arrival date. If the cancellation is notified less than 7 days before the planned arrival date, or in case of no show, we will keep or charge the deposit mentioned above in the paragraph “Booking”.

Summary table – Deposit and cancellation policies for individuals

For special packages (Early Bird, etc.) we charge the whole package price at time of booking without refund in case of cancellation.* We reserve the right to charge a deposit, and will inform the customer prior to this. If no deposit is charged, we ask for credit card details as a guarantee. In case of no-show or cancellation subject to penalties, we automatically charge the credit card.

Shortened Stay

Within the cancellation period or after check-in, should you shorten your stay, you will be charged a minimum of one night’s accommodation or 50 % of the accommodation or package value of the balance of your stay.

For any reservation done as a package (bed and breakfast, half board and other packages), non consumed services will not be reimbursed.

Group Bookings

Bookings of 5 rooms or more will be considered as group bookings. At the time of booking confirmation, we will ask for 2 pre-payments: one payment of 50% at the time of booking confirmation, and one payment of 50% two months before the arrival date. Pre-payments are not reimbursable.


There is no additional room charge for children under the age of 3 when sharing their parent’s accommodation room. A baby cot is available upon request at the reservation (subject to limited availability).

Restaurant and Breakfast Operating Hours:

Breakfast is available from 8:00 to 10:30 am each day. An extra of 5 Euros is charged per person for breakfast served in the room

A light lunch is available in our Comptoir Gourmand on the terrace or on the poolside from 12:30 to 3:30 pm. Sandwiches and snacks are available on request throughout the day

Dinner is available in our restaurant or alongside the pool from 7:30 to 9:30 pm (time of last order)

Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is available for all hotel’s guests and is open for swimming between 8:00 am and 7:30 pm – children must be supervised at all times by their parents. Safety jackets are available at the reception desk.

It is not allowed to jump into the pool and the use of toys and buoys is forbidden.

For hygienic reasons, we ask our guests to shower before and after swimming.

Local Taxes

Rates exclude our local Stay Tax, which is €2.42 per person per night.

Gratuities and Service Charges

Tips and gratuities to our team members are at our guest’s discretion and we do not apply any compulsory service charges.


Here at La Benvengudo we do not permit smoking within our guest rooms or within enclosed public areas; there are ample terraces and outdoor areas throughout the property. A sanitisation fee of one additional night’s accommodation or package fee will be charged where smoking occurs within a guest room.

Parking and Vehicles

Parking is available on site and is free of charge – limited undercover parking is available. Whilst every care is taken, we accept no responsibility for any theft or damages to vehicles that may occur while moving or parked on our premises.


At Benvengudo we recognize that pets are like family and are welcome. We have a limited number of rooms that are suitable for guests travelling with pets; please see our Reservations page for current rates. Pets must be kept on a leash when in the hotel or on hotel grounds.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel restaurant. No more than two pets per room are allowed. Pets must not be left unattended in the room to avoid property damages. For reasons of hygiene, it is strictly forbidden to let pets access to bedding and sofas/armchairs in the room. Guests are responsible for all property damage resulting from their pet.

Special Assistance

We aim to do our best to accommodate guests with a disability. We have a limited number of wheelchair accessible guest rooms with showers. Most common areas of the hotel are also accessible by wheelchair. Should you require special assistance of any kind, please let us know in advance so that we can assure that your visit is hassle-free and memorable.

Additional Guests

Unless otherwise specified all accommodation and packages rates quoted are based on double occupancy. Please see our Reservations page for current rates for additional guests.

Local assistance and advice

We welcome the opportunity to assist you with advice on local activities, events and entertainment, special experiences and even airport and train (TGV) transfers.

Damages and stolen objects

We will have to charge any damage done by the guest in his room, or any stolen object belonging to the hotel, prior or after the check-out. An inventory of fixtures will be done before and after the stay for the “Côté Petite Maison” and “Côté Grande Maison” apartments.

Forgotten belongings

For any belonging forgotten after your check-out, the postal fees will be at your charge.

Environmental Policy

We constantly challenge ourselves to provide the right environment for our guests and team members through the promotion of environmental awareness. We train our team members to incorporate good environmental practice in all aspects by periodically reviewing our practices, procedures and objectives.

Disputes and Claims

Any controversy, dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these hotel policies shall come under the jurisdiction of most competent courts of France.
